Creative Cardmaking issue 4

Creative Cardmaking issue 4

Issue 4 of Complete Cardmaking is available from Thursday 28th May 2009 and comes with FREE quality papers and embellishments worth over £5 inside. Plus, there’s a FREE copy of Quick Cardmaking, worth £7.99, for every reader!

We find that making cards for men is normally an absolute nightmare, and we tend to always go back to the same style or theme again and again – so we’re absolutely delighted this issue that there are so many different ideas to be inspired by. From making party invites for little boys on page 59 to stamped cards of pub scenes on page 66, you will find cards for all ages and tastes.

This issue’s free gifts are extra special as you are treated to pages from the new Cute Companions range from Crafter’s Companion. As well as receiving background and patterned papers, you will also find stamped images hand-coloured by designer Jayne Nestorenko, that you won’t find on the full CD-ROM.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are also gorgeous masculine-styled background papers, toppers, tags and embossed images to inspire your creativity. In total there’s over £5 worth of free gifts for you this month.

For some great ideas on how to use your Cute Companions papers, turned to page 16 where Jayne Nestorenko has produced some delightful cards. Look to page 12 for some quick and easy ideas on how to use the masculine-themed free papers.

With all the talk about the credit crunch at the moment, we are all watching our pennies a bit more carefully. Lynda Morland shows us that by cutting back on cost we definitely don’t need to cut back on style. Turn to page 70 for some great cards that have been made on a budget.

If you have seen wire in your local craft shop and have not been sure how to use it for cardmaking, Michelle Saxon helps out on page 49 with some great ideas on how to introduce both wire and beadwork into your cards.

We love to hear all about our readers and see the different projects you’ve been making, so please do send in your creations and tell us about your local craft groups. For every card or story that gets published, we’ll send a prize!

I have been trying since 15th May to purchase issue 4 of Creative Cardmaking as I have been really impressed since issue one with your magazine but I am unable to find issue 4 in my craft shop in Huddersfield. Plese can you tell me when I can expect this to appear as I can’t wait to read it.
Would it be better for me to subscribe, I really like to support my local shops though as other wise we will be without them.

Many thanks for your help with this issue.

Hi F Butler, Patricia and Kate
The page you want is here.

Hi Carol
You should be able to get hold of issue 4 as a back issue if you ring 0844 561 1203.

Hi Barbara
Issue 4 was slightly delaying owing to a problem at the printing plant, but it should be in your local craft store now. It is possible to subscribe, but we totally agree about supporting your local craft shop, especially in these economically challenging times!

Please can you tell me why I am unable to subscribe to your magazine Creative Cardmaking online. It says that the offer is no longer available.
Unfortunately I have no local craft shops that sell this magazine and have bought Issue 3 online at a craft shop and that shop does not seem to havel Issue 4 available and it is very difficult to find any shop online that sells it. I would rather subscribe.
Perhaps you could let me know what to do next.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello. I love your magazines and this issue was a must for me (4) as I love Jaynes work but …. sad to say when I went to use the free pages of her designs my papers were cut off at the edgae of the page. eg the poor wind up mouse doesn’t have a bottom! and the carrots no tips etc. Is there any way this can be corrected please? I bought my copy from my local shop and they are all the same so they couldn’t replace it.
So sorry to have a negative in such a fab magazine as the other papers are fantastic!!! I will keep buying though!!
Chrissie

Hi

The page is fully working and can be found at http://www.creativecardmakingmagazine.co.uk/freeqc

If you are typing the address in rather than clicking the above link, you need to enter it into the address bar at the top of your web browser. If you enter it into the search box in Google (or another web browser) the page will not be found.

Hope that helps everyone.

Hi Pamela
I’m afraid I don’t know where you could pick up a copy of issue 1, as they’re like gold dust! However some copies of issues 2 and 3 are available in a bundle here:

Hi I agree with Chrissie, I bought issue 4 especially for the papers but they were no use for decoupage as the edges had all been cut off. I especially wanted the rockin horse one for my grandaughters birthday card. Is there any way we can get replacement papers?
