Thanks from Daniel
The Fund Raising event held on the 8th May to raise funds for Daniel George, sufferer of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, was a great success. Fundraisers Carol and Jaqi managed to raise £420 through card sales and activities and want to pass on both their and Daniels thanks to everyone who participated and sent cards for selling.
Daniel George, of Mons Avenue, Hebburn, and a pupil at Bamburgh School in South Shields, is a 15 year old boy who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was diagnosed at the age of 2, his mobility has steadily worsened culminating in him being totally wheelchair dependant by the age of 12.

Daniel's friends and family are trying to raise funds to give him the holiday of a lifetime that he truly deserves. Friends of Daniel, Paul and Jackie Ryan started The Daniel George website for this purpose.
The next event is a fundraising night on the 28th May (details on Daniel's website). There is a coffee day with tombola and raffle, plus they'll be selling cards for Daniel's special trip.
Any donations of handmade cards would be greatly appreciated and should be sent up to the end of May to be sold at both events to:
Carol Watkins, 30 Ironbridge Road, Madeley, Telford, TF7 5JU
Jaqi Wright, 23 Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear, NE35 9HZ
For details on how to donate in other ways, information on all the events being organised or to leave Daniel a message to let him know you care visit www.thedanielgeorgefund.com.
