Bouquet of blooms

Materials...

To create...

1 Cover a large chipboard flower in PVA glue. Cover with a circle of white bouquet paper, allowing space between the edge of the chipboard flower and the paper. Using the paintbrush and black acrylic paint, carefully edge the sides of the chipboard shape with black paint. Leave to dry for approximately 30 minutes.
2 Paint two small chipboard flowers with black acrylic paint. Leave to dry for approximately 30 minutes.
3 Using the chipboard flower as a rough template, use the craft wire to create a flower shape. To begin, form the first petal and then gently twist the two ends to secure it. Once you have formed each subsequent petal, secure it by wrapping the wire around the twist you created initially. Once you have finished the flower, cut the wire leaving approximately 3cm spare wire.
4 Print 'bouquet of' and 'birthday wishes' onto white cardstock. Trim into a tag shape and mount onto black card. Attach an acrylic gem to each tag.
5 Cut a panel measuring 14x4.5cm from black divine paper, and edge using decorative scissors. Mount onto black card and edge with the decorative scissors once again. Attach to the card blank.
6 Trim the large chipboard flower using a craft knife to get close to the edge. Using your craft knife, create a small hole in the centre of the flower and then push the ends of the wire flower through. Secure the wire to the back of the chipboard flower using tape. Add a large acrylic gem with glue dots.
7 Using the Souffle pen, add some doodling to the small black chipboard flowers, and attach the rickrack to the card blank with sticky dots.
8 Use foam pads to mount the large chipboard flower and tags, and glue dots to mount the small chipboard flowers.
