Introduction
These are the subscription terms and conditions of the Practical Publishing Group. By subscribing to one of our magazines or subscription boxes, you accept in full the terms and conditions set out below.
The Practical Publishing Group consists of:
Practical Publishing International Ltd which publishes craft magazines including Simply Cards & Papercraft, Papercraft Essentials, Creative Stamping, Die-Cutting Essentials, Crochet Now, Knit Now, Quilt Now, Sew Now and Love Sewing, and manufactures craft products
CraftStash Ltd which operates the website craftstash.co.uk
Magnesium Media Ltd which publishes craft books and magazines
Practical Pattern Designs Ltd which manufactures sewing patterns under the Simple Sew brand
In this document, the terms ‘we’ and ‘us’ mean the Group and its brands.

New magazine subscriptions
All magazine subscription prices are inclusive of delivery and include a crafting treat with every issue.
If you’ve supplied a valid email address, your order will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours with confirmation of your start issue. Alternatively, if we don’t hold an email address, your order will be acknowledged within 5 working days by post.
You are advised to create an account at the point of purchase to access details about your subscription and manage your subscription account at www.practicalsubs.com/myaccount
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password and other credentials (your “Credentials”) that you will asked to create to access your account, its features or portions thereof. We are not responsible for any misuse of your Credentials by any third party, whether authorized by you or not. You agree to immediately notify us of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your Credentials or any other breach of security. We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized use of your Credentials or for your failure to follow the requirements set out in this Agreement.
In an effort to improve the overall subscription/membership product and customer experience, we reserve the right to alter and modify the product, platforms, features, and elements of it at any point.
Additionally, we reserve the right to change or terminate any offered subscriptions or promotions at any time.
You will receive your first magazine issue in line with the issue stated in your acknowledgement email.
We will send you service emails relating to your membership such as issue dispatch notifications, feedback surveys and notifications. These will be sent regardless of your marketing communication preferences. In addition, as part of your subscription agreement, we may contact you for research purposes to find out about your experiences with the magazine.
You agree that any and all information and content that you submit (e.g., photos, audio, video, messages, text, files, or other content you provide us) – with the exception of any feedback to the service – may be used to inform, write, create or shape membership content in any way.
Savings are based on the full standard cover price of the magazines. Offers are valid for specified region and by payment method advertised only.
When you subscribe and provide a valid email address, we will automatically opt-in you in to receive our free newsletter. Should you wish to opt-out of the free email newsletter, you are entitled to do so at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained within the email. Opting out of the free email newsletter does not alter any of the subscription terms and conditions. If you choose not to renew your subscription of if you cancel your subscription, you will continue to receive the free email newsletter and you can opt out of these any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link.
Welcome gift(s) are subject to availability and to one per customer per year per title. Should we run out of the advertised item you will be offered an alternative product of similar value. Your gift will be sent separately to the magazine. Please allow up to 6 weeks from your first payment date for delivery. If there are any unforeseen delays with your gift, we will try to contact you via email where we have a valid email address for you on your account. Please note, for gift subscriptions, the welcome gift is sent to the billing address of the payer (not to the gift subscription recipient). We reserve the right to amend or terminate an order and/or request the return of gifts in cases of suspected user breach.
Magazine subscription terms vary depending on the magazine brand and the number of issues in your subscription. These will be outlined in your acknowledgement email or letter.
Magazine frequencies are subject to change and we reserve the right to adjust these at any time. Where possible, we will notify customers in advance of any changes and inform you, should this change your payment collection dates.
During your subscription/membership term we reserve the right to increase your direct debit or continuous card payment. We will however notify you prior to changes by email or by post.
Direct Debit and Continuous Card offers: An initial payment for the number of issues specified in the applicable offer will be taken and the subscription will continue at the step-up rate specified, unless you are notified otherwise

Cancellations
When you cancel a subscription/membership, you will be cancelling future charges only. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, but the cancellation will become effective at the end of your current billing period.
Direct Debit and Continuous Card subscriptions will automatically renew and can be cancelled anytime. Please note, future subscription terms will be cancelled so be sure to contact us 28 days before your next payment is due.
Minimum subscription terms apply to specific offers. If you cancel your subscription before the end of the stated minimum term you will not automatically be eligible for any refund.
If you wish to request a refund for any unmailed issues and have requested your cancellation in line with the terms in this agreement, you must do so in writing and at the point of your cancellation request. Refunds will be considered, but not guaranteed depending on the circumstances of your request.
Direct Debit and Continuous Credit trial offers only. Where no minimum subscription term is stated with the offer, they can be cancelled at any time. Refund requests for any unmailed issues must be made in writing otherwise you will continue to receive the remaining issues on your subscription which have already been paid for.

If you cancel your subscription, as part of your subscription agreement and regardless of your marketing communication preferences, we may contact you for research purposes to find out about your experience with the magazine and look to find an alternative solution which fits your needs.
If there is an issue processing your order or your magazine is returned as undelivered, we will attempt to contact you immediately to ensure you receive an uninterrupted service.
